The Orchard in Oberdussel
Aufwind launched the project to save old fruit trees back in 2016. Around 120 trees in a meadow in Wülfrath, some of which are over 100 years old, were saved through professional care. According to the farmer, the trees were planted by his grandfather.
Together with a professional arborist and nature photographer Klaus Tamm, founder of Aufwind, the project has now been continued, as the orchards provide an important habitat for animals such as the critically endangered little owl.
